How trust scores work

Every story is scored on evidence: photos, video, GPS, timestamps and independent witnesses. Confirmed reports raise your score; false information lowers it.

How story badges work

Every story carries a badge showing how much backing it has. Badges are earned from real numbers — never assigned by hand.

• Developing — the default. Every new story starts here.
• Community Verified — earned automatically when a story reaches 10+ supports and 3+ pieces of evidence (photos, videos, witnesses).
• Official — confirmed by an official source through the moderation team.
• False Information — debunked by the moderation team.
• Resolved — the event has concluded.

How Fix It statuses work

Civic issues move through Received → Under review → In progress → Fixed. The person who posted the issue updates the status themselves as things happen — nobody else can move it.

Reporting guidelines

One incident, one story. Add evidence, don't speculate, and post updates instead of new duplicates.
